Sollac Tintas, a Newger Lda. brand, manufactures and sells paints, varnishes, insulation, thinners and products for construction and maintenance.
Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. is committed to protecting the personal data of customers of Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. products and services. And the personal data of the respective owners in all situations in which personal data is processed by Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda.’s own stores. In this context, Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. has drawn up this Policy, which underpins its commitment to respecting the rules on the protection of personal data.
WHY THIS PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY?
This Policy is intended to inform Customers of the general rules for processing personal data, which are collected and processed in strict compliance with the provisions of the personal data protection legislation in force at any given time, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 (“GDPR”).
Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. respects the best practices in the field of security and protection of personal data, and to this end has taken the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to comply with the GDPR and ensure that the processing of personal data is lawful, fair, transparent and limited to the authorized purposes.
Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. is committed to the protection and confidentiality of personal data and has adopted the measures it deems appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of personal data, as well as all other rights that the respective holders have.
The rules set out in this Data Protection Policy complement the provisions on the protection and processing of personal data set out in the contracts, purchases and services that Customers acquire and enter into with Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda., as well as the rules set out in the terms and conditions that regulate the offer of the various products and services and which are duly published on the respective websites.
WHAT DOES THIS DATA PROTECTION POLICY COVER?
This Data Protection Policy applies exclusively to the collection and processing of personal data for which Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. is responsible, within the scope of the services and products made available to its Customers and in all situations in which personal data is processed by Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda, namely through social intervention and development support actions.

WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED?
Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda, within the scope of its activities, processes the personal data necessary for the provision of services and/or supply of products, as well as social intervention, processing data such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, according to more detailed information made available to the holders of personal data.
Without prejudice to compliance with legal rules on the retention and transmission of data for the purposes of investigation, detection, prosecution of serious crimes, as well as other processing to which it is legally obliged, the Customer’s traffic, geographic location, profile and/or consumption data will be processed by Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda, to the extent that it is necessary for the respective provision of services. In this way, based on location, profile and/or consumption, the Customer will have access, in particular, to specific features of the services, content suggestions and proximity information services.
Location information can also be recorded and transmitted to organizations with legal authority to receive emergency calls, for the purpose of responding to incoming calls.
Personal, traffic, geographic location, profile and/or consumption data are also processed for marketing purposes or to disseminate offers of goods or services from Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda, if the respective holder has authorized this.
Personal data will also be processed, if the respective owner has authorized it, for the purpose of disseminating information services and lists, within the scope of the universal service, including transmission to third parties for the publication of said lists and the provision of information services.
In the event of prior consent from the Client, this may be withdrawn at any time, without, however, compromising the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent previously given.
WHEN AND HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. collects your personal data, namely by telephone, in writing, through its websites, e-mail, and through the Customer area, guaranteeing, whenever necessary, the prior consent of the holder of the personal data.
Some personal data is indispensable for the performance of the contract and, if it is missing or insufficient, Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. will not be able to provide the product or service in question.
If the holder of the personal data is not a customer of Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda, their personal data will only be processed when it is made available, namely by subscribing to newsletters, in which case the rules of this Data Protection Policy will apply.
The personal data collected may be processed by computer and in an automated or non-automated way, guaranteeing in all cases strict compliance with personal data protection legislation, being stored in specific databases created for this purpose and, under no circumstances, will the data collected be used for any purpose other than that for which it was collected or consent was given by the data subject.

WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA AND THE LEGAL GROUNDS FOR DOING SO?
The personal data collected is based on and intended for the management of the contractual relationship, the provision of contracted services, the adaptation of services to the needs and interests of customers, for the purposes of purchasing products and services on credit, ordering, invoicing, sending technical data sheets, providing product/service updates, for marketing and promotional purposes, after-sales follow-up, for the purposes of statistical analysis, customer profiling, surveys and market studies and for questionnaires on the quality of our services.
In addition, personal data may also be processed for the purposes of complying with legal obligations and for the investigation, detection and prosecution of serious crimes.

Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. is committed to ensuring the protection of the security of the personal data made available to it and has approved and implemented strict rules in this area. Compliance with these rules is an obligation of all those who legally access them.

In this sense, on all Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. websites, the personal data collection forms require encrypted browser sessions and all personal data provided is stored securely on Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. systems, which in turn are on a server covered by all the physical and logical security measures that Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. has deemed indispensable for the protection of personal data.

Therefore, any entity subcontracted by Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. will process the personal data of our Customers, in the name and on behalf of Sollac Tintas/Newger Lda. and adopting the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, dissemination or unauthorized access and against any other form of unlawful processing.
