Choosing a paint color can be difficult, but choosing the colors for an entire house … Don’t worry, we’ll help you through the color selection process!
It’s best to start with your favorite colors, because then you won’t get tired of seeing them in your home all the time. Let’s get started!
CHOOSE A WHITE
If you love strong colors, you can use a white for trim, doors, cabinets, cabinet interiors and furniture. However, take note that, just like all other colors, whites have shades you’ll want to choose.
CHOOSE A NEUTRAL
This is perfect for walls that connect rooms such as open spaces. You can try a lovely beige, beige, gray, white, cream or light brown.
CHOOSE A SATURATED COLOR
Bring the walls of your home to life by choosing a saturated or bold color. Since we’re talking about colors for the whole house, this will be a main color. Saturated colors often resemble precious stones, both in appearance and name, such as sapphire blue, emerald green or ruby red.
If you love one of these strong colors, it probably won’t be difficult to choose one. If you’re more conservative, don’t be distressed, when we say choose a saturated color it’s not obligatory, you can also choose a lighter shade of color too!
CHOOSE A CONTRAST COLOR
This will be the accent/contrast color in some areas of your home. Uniform highlight/contrast colors in rooms will provide a flow. Remember that the main accent/contrast color in a room should appear at least three times in different areas of the room, so that it looks intentional.
