Tinta Torreense rated A+
The Sollac Tintas® brand from Newger Lda. has seen yet another range of products in its portfolio recognized for their properties. This time, following tests carried out at the LQAI (Indoor Air Quality Laboratory), the Sollaqua Plus AC® 100% Acrylic, Sollaqua Plus® and Sollaqua® water-based paints were classified as A+.
This makes Sollac Tintas® the only paint brand in Torre, and one of the few in Portugal, to have the highest rating in Indoor Air Quality, according to French legislation, the most demanding in Europe at this level.
Indoor air quality is a topic that has been gaining increasing concern among the scientific, technical and political communities, due to the worsening of diseases attributed to it – such as asthma and other respiratory diseases.
Formalized into four classes (A+, A, B and C), the A+ classification indicates a very low level of emissions (less than 1000 µg/m3), while the C classification indicates a high level of emissions (above 2000 µg/m3), which may constitute a danger to humans.
The analysis carried out on the 14 harmful substances laid down in French legislation found no traces of any of them in the Sollaqua® range, which is why this paint was awarded the A+ classification by the LQAI laboratory, making it an environmentally and public health friendly product.
Decree-Law no. 79/2006, also known as the Regulation on Energy Systems for Air Conditioning in Buildings (RSECE), stipulates indoor air quality objectives, which Sollaqua® meets and exceeds, as these tests at the LQAI prove.
The Sollaqua® range is a range of matt water-based paints with excellent coverage, color fastness, excellent adhesion, great resistance and is available in thousands of colors.
